Oak Street Chapel was started in August of 2000 by the late Pastor Chip and Carolyn Avelsgaard. They started in the basement of their home in Baxter. On August 6th of 2001 they had the first service at our current location.
Oak Street Chapel always has been and always will be "A hospital for sinners, not a resthome for saints".
OUR VISION
Like our former Pastor Chip once said, "whether someone is a member of Oak Street Chapel or not we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and we will do whatever we can to help each other".
We at Oak Street still believe this to be true and strive to reach as many as possible to tell them how much love our Lord has for them.
OUR COMMUNITY
Oak Street Chapel is very dedicated to taking care of our community.
Whenever a fundraiser is done at the church a minimum of 10% is given back to a local non-profit to help reach as many as possible in our community.
ABOUT US
Oak Street Chapel is a non-denominational church whose purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, to worship, glorify, honor and praise God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
We believe in the trinity one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, Jesus Christ is resurrected Lord and Savior and only through His shed blood can we receive salvation.
